There is interest by a new group of scientists in the growing area of medical geology. These scientists are starting to recognize the importance of the role of excess fluoride in the environment for the etiology of some human metabolic disorders and ecosystem health.

Several people who have sensitivities to fluoride chemicals or who have chronic illnesses due to fluoride and fluorinated chemicals have expressed interest in coming to the ISFR meeting to meet the scientists doing active research in fluoride toxicology.

There has been interest by a company that makes TV documentaries to include fluoride as a topic in their TV series and they are making plans to come to the conference.
