Air Issues and Commercial Goods and Freight Movement - National Conference, Mar 5 - 6    Wed Mar 5 to Thu Mar 6, 2008, Toronto, ON

Pollution Probe is organizing a National Conference on Air Issues and the Movement of Commercial Goods and Freight in Toronto on March 5th and 6th 2008. The objective of this conference is to communicate to carriers and shippers the government programs and initiatives that will help them use less fuel, save money and reduce emissions contributing to climate change and air pollution, in addition to showcasing best practices across different transportation modes.

The conference will present the latest science on the health impacts from air pollution and climate change and outline government targets for reducing emissions. By outlining what governments are doing to promote and support the sustainable movement of goods and freight, and highlighting best practices among companies, carriers and shippers, participants will take from the conference information that will help Canada reach or exceed its emissions reduction targets for 2020 and 2050.

Please visit to obtain the agenda and registration form for the conference. Should you require accommodations, a group rate of $169 per night has been reserved at the event venue, Renaissance Toronto Airport Hotel.
