Crapshoots – The Gamble With Our Wastes (free screening)    Mon Jan 21, 2008, Toronto, ON

NATIONAL FILM BOARD, TORONTO
"GREEN SCREENS"

Greens Screens is back with a screening of **/Crapshoots – The Gamble
With Our Wastes/** January 21 at 7PM. Filmed in Italy, India, Sweden,
the United States and Canada, Jeff McKay’s bold documentary questions
whether the sewer is actually compounding our waste problems. While
scientists warn of links between sewage practices and potential health
risks, activists, engineers and concerned citizens challenge our
fundamental attitudes to waste. Does our need to dispose of waste take
precedence over public safety? What are the alternatives?

Join us for this FREE screening followed by a panel discussion
coordinated by
the Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy (CIELAP).

Green Screens partners films from the National Film Board with experts
and panelists from the Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and
Policy. If you are interested in the environment, Green Screens will
both entertain and educate.
