Building Strong Collaborations from The Start, with The Tamarack Institute    Tue Oct 31 to Thu Nov 2, 2023, Webinar

Session 1: An Overview of the Factors that Make for Effective Collaboration
Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 ET

The first session will thoroughly explore the 10 sustainability factors and the 10 resilience practices found in 10: A Guide for Building a Sustainable and Resilient Collaboration. It will also include sharing concrete examples of collaborations that have integrated the sustainability practices into their processes.

Learning objectives:

Be able to define sustainability and resilience as they apply to building strong and effective collaborations within your unique collaborative context.
Understand the 10 sustainability factors that support the effective resourcing of a collaboration with the people, processes, resource investments, and impact approaches to have the power and capacity to continuously respond to identified community issues and create a lasting impact.
Understand the 10 resilience factors that build a collaboration?s capacity to shift, adapt, and change, and that support the overall health and well-being of the collaboration and the community.
Make connections to stories of strong collaborations that have shared strategies and lessons-learned for how they have built sustainability and resilience into their process and practices.

Session 2: Developing your Plan for a Strong Collaboration
Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 1:00-2:30 ET

The second session will focus on the practical application to build sustainability from the start. Using the Tamarack Institute?s Sustainability Self-Assessment Tool as a framework, the Tamarack team will take you through the key steps in assessing your current level of sustainability and build your future practice.

Learning objectives:

Identify who needs to be involved in your planning and how to effectively engage them in the process.
Understand the process for sustainability planning in building strong collaborations.
Practice using the Sustainability Self-Assessment Tool, which is a tool that helps you define what sustainability means to your collaboration, assess your sustainability using the 10 factors, identify strengths to leverage and areas of growth, and develop a sustainability action plan.
Become confident in using the tool to guide you through the reflection and planning process with your own collaborations.
