The next wave of e-waste that no one is talking about!
What do you do with solar panels once they have reached their end of life stage? Jennifer will be speaking about investing in facilities for truly green solar solutions. March is International Women's month and she will also touch upon tips and trends in Renewable Energy for women.

About the speaker:
Jenn is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over a decade of experience in the energy industry including traditional oil and gas, power generation and solar power development projects. Originally from Alberta, Ms. Schurer holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree specializing in Finance and is a graduate of the CMA Strategic Leadership Program. Ms. Schurer is the Co-lead of the Ottawa chapter for WIRE (Women in Renewable Energy), a national organization whose purpose is to advance the role and recognition of women in the energy industry. She has a strong passion for sustainability spanning across several industries including renewable energy and real estate. In 2018 Ms. Schurer Co-founded upSpace, an online booking and payment platform to make better use of commercial space in Ottawa and surrounding areas. Ms. Schurer hopes to one day build a facility for the recycling of solar panels in Southern Ontario.

Please note: Due to ongoing construction parking on Elgin Street is limited but you can park for free at the Ottawa City Hall after 6pm.
