Eco House - Tour of the House    Sat Apr 27, 2013, Hockley Valley, ON

People interested in sustainable building are invited to see the Ketchum's house between 1:30 and 4:30 on Saturday, April 27th at #2713 Concession Rd. 3 of Adjala Township.
This is our 16th annual 'tour of the house'.

The house is approx. 2 miles east of Hockley Village, 45 mins. drive from Pearson Airport via the Glore Rd. or take hwy, 400 to hwy. 9 and go west on hwy 9 to Conc. Rd. 3 of Adjala and go north on Conc. 3 for 8 1/2 kms.

The house has exceptional thermal mass, an indoor garden, composting toilets, a small wind turbine, PV panels, rain water collection, and a masonry heater. It is set into the hillside and is underground up to the top of the second floor on the north and east sides.

If you plan to visit, it would help if you could give us the number of people with you ahead of time. Children are welcome.
