Biodiversity Day 2012!    Sun Apr 22, 2012, Kingston, ON

The Society for Conservation Biology, Kingston Chapter, is holding their annual free Biodiversity Day!

On Sunday, April 22nd, 10am - 3pm, in the BioSciences Complex (116 Barrie St.) at Queen's University, we are inviting local families to join us for our fun-filled day, where we aim to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and local conservation issues.

The day will provide both young and young-at-heart with an exciting learning experience and an opportunity to watch live animal shows with endangered Ontario wildlife and flying squirrels.
The tentative schedule is as follows:

• 10:00am-11:30am: Steve the Flying Squirrel Guy and his Flying Squirrels – Live Animals!
• 11:30am-12:00pm: Fish & Frogs Forever Program – Storm Drain Pollution
• 12:00pm-1:00pm: Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo – Endangered Ontario Animals – Live Animals!
• 1:00pm-1:30pm: Food Chain Game with Let’s Talk Science
• 1:30pm-2:15pm: Birds, by Mark Conboy of the Queen’s University Biology Station
• 2:15pm-3:00pm: Reptile discussion – Live Animals!

No registration is required, and it is free for all!
