Art in the Forest Workshop

In celebration of the UN Year of the Forest, the Manitoba Forestry Association has partnered with Pinawa Art 211 to host an event called Art in the Forest.

Date: Saturday, August 20th, 2011
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location: Sandilands Forest Discovery Centre, Hadashville, Manitoba

This one-day event will feature six artists at work in the forest. You are welcome to bring your art supplies to work on your own project, register for one or more of three art workshops, take a nature walk, or simply observe the artists as they create art inspired by the beauty of the forest.

The original pieces of art created by the painters, potters, wood carvers, fabric artists, and photographers on August 20th will become part of an art exhibit that will be featured in Pinawa during the fall and winter and at the Sandilands Forest Discovery Centre during the summer of 2012.
