Can Change Festival    Sat Sep 19, 2009, North Bay, ON

3rd Annual Can Change Festival

The North Bay Environmental Action Committee (EAC) will be hosting the 3rd annual Can Change Festival on Saturday, September 19th, 2009, from 11:00am to 10:00pm.

The purpose of the festival is to raise awareness about current local and global environmental concerns and to promote organizations, businesses and groups working on environmental issues. This year's focus will be on things that people can do in times of a recession to save money, support local businesses, and help the environment.

This event is free and everyone is welcome. Vendors will have booths set up at the North Bay waterfront to advise the public about their practices/services and sell their goods between the hours of 11:00am and 5:00pm.

Due to the success of previous festivals, we are pleased to announce that this years headliner band will be Mr. Something Something; they are a renouned Toronto-based Afrobeat collective that was nominated for a 2007 JUNO Award in the World Music category. Their show will start at 4:00pm and will be a Soundcycle concert - the whole set will be powered by people riding on bicycles.
