SUMMER FOR THE GREEN AT HEART

KINGSTON, Ontario -- June 10, 2004 -- Planet-Friendly 
today announced the launch of "A Planet-Friendly 
Summer", an online gateway to "healthy, affordable, 
and environmentally friendly summer activities".

"These are inspiring alternatives to the usual summer 
hype", says Planet-Friendly Coordinator, Peter 
Blanchard. "You can find everything from grassroots 
festivals to natural health retreats, outdoors activities, 
green travel, organic events, and terrific volunteer
opportunities."

This free, nonprofit resource is aimed at Canadians 
of all ages. It will be of interest to anyone who wants 
enjoyable summer experiences -- but also wants to 
"tread a bit more lightly on the planet". 

The website includes a calendar; a directory of "Eco-
Experience Places"; organic travel opportunities; a 
"Green Travel and Recreation" directory; volunteer 
and employment listings; plus links to related 
resources around the world. 

"Many of these things aren't easy to find", says 
Blanchard, "because they don't have big promotional 
budgets. We want to help everyone explore -- and
participate in -- these green alternatives".
