How to Write an Effective Posting

· Try to answer the basic questions – who, what, when, where, how and why.
· What exactly are you offering or proposing, and what are you looking for?
· The more clearly you describe your property or project, and its potential, the better.
Your listing can be anywhere from a paragraph to several pages in length.

EcoProperty is not just a place to list that "beautiful piece of property". There are many other places to do that. Rather, there should be a truly ecological or sustainable angle to your message.

EcoProperty is a powerful way to reach people genuinely interested in environment, conservation and sustainable living. Think of these people while writing your listing. What's unique about the property or project? What would ecologically-minded folks like about it, that "mainstreamers" might not? Naturalized landscape? Solar or wind power? Connection to environmental themes or communities?

Also, does the listing present opportunities for self-employment, educational or not-for-profit projects? For example, a property could have organic gardens; unique natural or ecological features; commercial or educational zoning; or energy-efficient structures. Or it could be an existing retreat, Bed & Breakfast, education centre, or other business.
