I just wanted to let you know I LOVE Planet-Friendly and GoodWork. I have found out about many great opportunities – some I've been able to capitalize on, some it was just great to know they existed. One example: last summer there was a chance to help out on a volunteer organic farm, and having never done such a thing before I wasn't too sure initially. Your guide for deciding about such organic farm opportunities was invaluable. I ended up going, and was very very happy I did so. I made new friends and contacts, learned lots, and plan to go back again this summer!

So just so you know, the work you are doing is invaluable. I have become increasingly concerned about human activities and the environment over the last few years, but practically everyone around me thinks I'm overly worried. I'm not, and it is great to learn of other people's activities that fit with my values and concerns. Community is critical!

It was your article 'Caring too much, caring too little' that prompted me to write to you. I know I can sometimes be a bit out of balance and worry too much, but have found that when I ACT in accordance with my values (i.e. volunteer with environmental and animal rights groups etc) then each day is so much more meaningful, and I am much more in the present moment. There is nothing like the present!
