| Your Own Green Job
Site? Interested in the green jobs concept? Thinking of starting your own green job board, website or service? Want to help the human side of the green movement? Whether you're thinking of starting a job site or some other service related to green human resources, we invite you to call us and discuss the possibilities. We want green organizations to be able to reach as many green job seekers as possible. It is far better if they can reach everyone by paying one small fee, rather than having the community splintered such that they're forced to pay multiple times, or reach only a subset of the community. More green job sites do not necessarily equate to more green work or faster progress on the environment. So, if you're thinking of starting a green job site, let's avoid a scenario that could become a big waste of your time, our time and everybody else's especially green employers and job seekers. Not to mention the resulting ecological footprint. Maybe you can build a better site than GoodWork. Maybe you have much deeper pockets than we do. Others have already tried and failed. But unlike some, we're not in it for the money, and we can prove it with much more than words. We were here before green was trendy and we'll be here long after the current wave of interest settles down. So rather than reinventing the wheel and duplicating what's already being done, why not build on what GoodWork has been doing since 2001? Rather than going it alone, or trying to "build your own empire", let's discuss more sensible and sustainable approaches. There are a variety of different ways we could cooperate or work together. In any case, if your interest is truly in the greater good not just self-promotion or making a buck let's talk about the possibilities! It's a terrible waste of resources to fight somebody who's on your side, when we could quite possibly work together for the benefit of all. Don't get us wrong. We're not anti-competition. But we strongly believe that, when dealing with the environment, it's critically important to communicate with each other and be conscious about the strategies we adopt. For the earth's sake, let's talk. Peter Blanchard "You can't solve
a problem with the same mind-set that got you into the
problem in the first place." |
