How can I subscribe?
Use the subscribe form. Or use the simple form at GoodWorkCanada.ca. A few minutes after you click Subscribe Now, our list host (Yahoo!) will send you a confirmation message. To complete your subscription, simply click reply to that message.

Is there any other way to subscribe?
If you prefer, you can subscribe by email. Simply send a blank message to: goodworkcanada-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. A few minutes later, Yahoo will send you a confirmation message. Reply to this message, or your subscription will be ignored.

Do I need a Yahoo account?
No. When confirming your subscription, it's simplest to reply by e-mail, rather than following the link to Yahoo's site.

I tried to subscribe, but I'm not getting any postings
If this happens, please let us know so we can determine if there is a technical problem. It's possible that your ISP, webmail or e-mail software has been misinterpreting messages as spam and either blocking them, or sending them to your junk mail folder. You can find help here, under "Don't miss out on GoodWork". Please let us know if you're having difficulty.

Does it cost anything?
No. There is no charge.

How many messages will you send?
GoodWorkCanada averages about three postings per day. If there are too many messages for your liking, you can unsubscribe at any time. Or subscribe to one of the regional lists instead.

How can I unsubscribe?
You can unsubscribe at any time by sending a blank message to the unsubscribe e-mail address, found at the bottom of each posting. For the GoodWorkCanada list, the unsubscribe address is: goodworkcanada-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com. The regional lists each have their own unsubscribe addresses.

Hotmail problems?
Are you having problems subscribing or receiving messages in your "Hotmail" account? (Ironically, you might never find out, if the sender can't reach you to tell you there's a problem.) Suggestion: switch to just about any other e-mail provider other than Hotmail. Such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, your ISP at home, or your school or work account. There are many other free web-based e-mail providers.

Are there other ways to see the postings?
Yes, most if not all postings are also published on our website. Go to www.GoodWorkCanada.ca and click "green jobs" or "job listings", near top left.

Will I receive junk mail or spam?
No. Subscribers' e-mail addresses are not posted anywhere on the web, and are not available to other subscribers or employers. Each posting is carefully moderated by our staff to ensure that unwanted messages rarely if ever get through. Also, attachments are stripped off before any message is sent to the list.

Will you give my e-mail address to others?
No. We will not share your e-mail address with anyone other than the list host (Yahoo!). Details of Yahoo!'s privacy policy: US | Canada).

What will you do with my personal information?
You don't need to give any information other than your e-mail address. If you choose to fill in the optional items on the subscribe form, we will use this to help improve our service in the future. We will not share personally identifiable information with anyone. (Privacy Policy)

Can I get viruses?
No. All our messages are text – we never send attachments. If you ever do receive a message that seems to be from our address, but it has an attachment or suspicious subject line, don't open it.
