Downsview Park Nature Connection - Structures and Survival    Sun Nov 26, 2017, Toronto, ON

Survival is the number one priority for all living creatures. To ensure survival animals need to have food, water and shelter, especially during the winter months.

This program will explore how some of Toronto's wildlife shelter themselves during the colder seasons.

Participants will try out their shelter building skills when we build our own drey shelters in our forest. To keep the group toasty we will be making tea out of foraged materials and learning about wild edibles.

This program starts in the Discovery Centre, please use the enterance found at the back of 70 Canuck Avenue.

For more information and directions, please visit DownsviewPark.ca

All participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This program may take place on rough trails, strollers are not recommended. Please do not bring animals to Nature Connection programs and remember to dress for the weather.
