Rainwater Harvesting and Use in Crop Micro-Irrigation    Sat Feb 25, 2017, South of Ottawa, ON

Join us at the Osgoode Township Museum in Vernon for a series of workshops on harvesting rainwater and designing a drip irrigation setup for your farm or garden. There are 4 sessions held over two Saturdays to give you a personalized plan to conserve water, reduce erosion and irrigate your crops in a sustainable and economical way.

The workshop is based on the experience of Mike Bernard and Gary Briggs who spent last summer installing a rainwater harvest system at the Osgoode Township Museum. Water is harvested from the roof of the Museum and supplied to a drip irrigation system that waters the community garden and community orchard on the Museum grounds.
