Join Kristen, from Know Thy Food for an informative talk Ditch the Dairy - Making dairy alternatives a part of your life.

There are so many good reasons to ‘ditch the dairy’ as animals’ milk has been linked to a number of health concerns, digestive issues, inflammation (the precursor to disease) and so much more.

But do we have to give up our favourite things like ice cream, cheese, and milk? Absolutely not!

In this talk we’ll explore some of the myths and concerns about dairy, then onto the good news of how to navigate the world dairy-free! You’ll be surprised at the amazing variety of alternatives, even unprocessed ones!

Some of the things we’ll talk about are:

Commercial dairy alternatives, the pros and cons
Nutritional make-up of whole food dairy alternatives
The ingredients we use to make milks, cheese, ice cream and sauces
Where to get your calcium and the best sources in nature
You’ll have lots of opportunities to ask questions, and munch on vegan goodies from Organic Works!
