Greening our Neighbourhoods EcoFestival

Greening our Neighbourhoods is a day-long festival focused on our common community cause, greening our neighbourhoods and the Earth.

Greening our Neighbourhoods EcoFestival is for the whole community. With events and activities ranging from popular children’s eco-troubadour Chris McKhool, to a Forum on Climate Change, the day will address many environmental issues we and our children face.

Featured events and performers:

10:30am: Special Eco-Worship Service

1 pm: Juno-nominated children’s entertainer Chris McKhool presents “Earth, Air and Seas”

2:15 pm: Sick of Hot Air: A Forum on Real Action for Climate Change

Throughout the afternoon from 12 noon – 5pm:
Recycling for kids and Greening our Apartments (Toronto Environmental Alliance)
Protecting and Growing the Urban Forest (Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests)
What is Community Supported Agriculture? (The Cutting Veg)
How to do your own Energy Audit (Greening Sacred Spaces)
The Secret Life of Water in the Annex (Lost Rivers)
The Lorax by Dr. Seuss (a dramatic reading)
Guerilla Gardening
plus displays, food and exhibits by local ecobusinesses, environmental groups and service providers

Free Admission to all events and displays.
